  • Overview

    The FP&A Analyst, will assists in analyzing business results, preparing annual budgets and forecasts, and proving financial support ensuring that the business meets key financial targets. This position will interact with Senior Management, Operations, Finance and Accounting teams providing insights to enable achieving of financial commitments. This position ensures proper financial, operational, and compliance controls are in place within the organization.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Provide detailed and accurate reporting to business, financial and sales management on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis to support business objectives. This includes, but is not limited to, forecast, variance analysis, sales results, and KPIs.
    • Conducts monthly operating expense and head count reviews with cost center heads in order to discuss variations to budgets/forecast, identifying risk and opportunities as well as to define and implement corrective actions.
    • Liaise with divisions to understand OpEx trends, causes of unexpected variance to budget/forecast and provide insightful commentary, both overall and by cost center.
    • Ensure that expenses in assigned areas are properly recognized and recorded timely.
    • Assist with financial input for monthly and quarterly board reports and flux analysis.
    • Support the preparation and deliver of all planning process in a timely and accurately manner (strategic plan, annual budget, forecasts).
    • Implementation of improved processes within FP&A.
    • Identify notable issues and orchestrate resolutions with team members.
    • Ad hoc financial projects, reporting and analysis.
    • Be able to deal with multi-currency conversions and FxR variance analysis.
    • Provide superior customer service and support to all internal departments.

     

     

    Qualifications

    Technical skills and abilities

    • At least 3 years’ experience in finance role and financial reporting systems.
    • Accounting qualification CMA/AAT level 4 or above.
    • Strong understanding of accounting, finance principles and financial modeling.
    • Ability to create and implement reports and analysis from a cube reporting environment.
    • Ability to tailor analysis and communication to different audiences.
    • Excellent communication skills (role provides exposure to various counterparties; ability to communicate financial matters to non-financial audience).
    • Advanced technical skills in Microsoft Excel, including Excel modeling (PivotTables, Vlookup).
    • Ability to complete projects timely and accurately critical.
    • Must be detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
    • Proactive attitude, driven, with a clear desire to improve status quo and continuously add value
    • Self-motivated, must be able to organize and execute work independently and with minimal supervision.
