  • Overview

    This position is a joint member of the Product Development Team and is specifically responsible for the upkeep of the sample and study databases and blood requirements in support of Oxford Immunotec’s Product Development activities.

     

    Overall responsibilities:

    1. Working closely with Product Development responsible for critical support activities in relation to a broad range of Development projects within Oxford Immunotec.
    2. Responsible for coordination and maintenance of all database activities and all blood requirements in support of T-SPOT.TB, T-Cell Xtend and other T-SPOT related products.
    3. To act as the company phlebotomist and to arrange and attend external and internal bleeds
    4. Close liaison with various different groups and companies within UK and US, e.g., Technical Support, Clinical, Product Development and blood donation groups.

    Primary Responsibilities

    Specific deliverables for the role are:

     

    1. Taking responsibility for the databases and clinical information used by Oxford Immunotec Product Development Team
    2. Ensuring that work is completed to agreed timelines.
    3. Ensuring that any blood requirements are fulfilled to agreed timelines
    4. To take blood from both internal and external donors and record and store donations in accordance with SOPs.
    5. Ensuring that all study protocols are proofread, consistently formatted and compliant with the Company Quality System and to the required Regulatory standards.
    6. Ensure professional and timely communication between our blood donation groups and Oxford Immunotec
    7. Data collection and entry for all of the Product Development studies (pre-clinical) and where required the Clinical Team
    8. Ensure all CRFs and questionnaires are correctly completed and the data has been entered into the correct database
    9. Working to Oxford Immunotec’s Company Values at all times.

     

    Qualifications

    PROFILE OF THE CANDIDATE

     

    Desirable Technical skills and abilities

    • An understanding of the diagnostic and pharmaceutical industries
    • Familiarity with Quality System concepts and requirements including GMP and ISO systems

    Essential Technical skills and abilities

    • Knowledge of Windows and Office bases applications; Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
    • ‘A’ Level or equivalent preferably in a life sciences discipline
    • Ability to organise and prioritise work loads
    • Previous work experience, ideally in a customer service environment

    Emotional skills and abilities

    • Capable of handling multiple tasks at the same time.
    • Capable of working effectively in a team environment.
    • Able to communicate effectively at all levels.

    Desirable Technical skills and abilities 

    • An understanding of quality conscience industries such as diagnostic, medical or pharmaceutical industries
    • Experience or knowledge of manufacturing techniques and processes
    • Familiarity with Quality System concepts and requirements including GMP and ISO systems.

    Essential Technical skills and abilities

    • Knowledge of Windows and Office bases applications; Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
    • BTEC or Equivalent
    • Ability to organise and prioritise work loads
    • Previous work experience
