    This position is responsible for the development and effective execution of Oxford Immunotec’s marketing strategy for our next generation product portfolio in Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia and S America. The main function of the role will be to develop and implement marketing programs to drive awareness of new utilities and products associated with our T-SPOT.TB assay, and provide tools to accelerate the adoption & use of our tests throughout the geographies within the remit.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement a multi-faceted Marketing, to include the following activities
      • Nurture relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and develop advocates
      • Provide tools, materials and training to support the sales activities of our direct sales personnel and distributors
      • Develop marketing activities directed at either specific countries or specific customer types
      • Produce and run a medical education program
      • Work with the company’s distributors (in markets where we do not sell direct) to drive key elements of the marketing plan through to both their existing and prospective customers
      • Develop and support sponsored and investigator led research plans
    • Develop and implement strategic communication plans aligned with market segment marketing plans.
    • Manage all aspects of Product Marketing including market segmentation, targeting and positioning (STP), price, promotion and channel management
    • Develop training programmes and tools to maximize sales/distribution effectiveness.
    • Complete marketing product design requirements for product development projects.
    • Develop integrated communications strategies and programmes to generate awareness and leads including the use of trade shows, mail, web and telephone.
    • Coordinate with international marketing and sales team members as needed to share best practices and collaborate on strategies and tactics
    • Develop and manage customer presentations and materials to support customer marketing.
    • Collaborate with our global marketing functions to rollout best practice and ensure marketing communications consistency (website press releases and advertising campaigns)
    • Control marketing expenditure and ensure increasing returns on investments
    • Collate and regularly communicate market and competitive intelligence

    Qualifications

     

    Technical skills and abilities

    • Life sciences degree
    • MBA, CIM Diploma or marketing qualification
    • >5 years’ experience in specialist healthcare/diagnostic marketing
    • Prior Experience of working with a KOL network
    • Proven ability to develop and execute marketing plans
    • Experience having developed and implemented a multi-faceted marketing campaign
    • Experience of medical education and research activities
    • International experience
    • Financial capability (able to negotiate and make sound investment decisions)

    Location of position

     

    The Marketing Manager position will be based at the company’s head-quarters at Milton Park, Abingdon, UK reporting to the VP Sales & Marketing, OUS. Traveling in the UK and overseas will be required.
