  • Overview

    This position is primarily responsible for the day to day processing of Purchase ledgers entries of Oxford Immunotec Inc. (OII) , the US subsidiary of Oxford Immunotec Ltd (OIL).

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Recording OII purchase orders and invoices in an accurate timely manner
    • Ensuring all necessary invoice and payment approvals are acquired promptly
    • Matching invoices with delivery notes and purchase orders and resolving discrepancies
    • Preparation of OII payment runs in accordance with the payments timetable
    • Monitoring and managing the OII accounts payable email account, ensuring all incoming items are dealt with on a daily basis
    • Monitoring and managing the Exchequer purchase daybook, ensuring regular postings occur
    • Assistance with the period end accounts payable accrual process
    • Assistance with weekly bank reconciliations


    • Provision of backup support for sales order processing
    • Assistance with a variety of quarterly and annual audit-related tasks
    • Assistance with other month, quarter and year-end accounting tasks and reconciliations as required
    • Provision of cover for other Accounts functions/roles as required
    • Other related administrative activities, including close work with US colleagues wherever necessary


    Technical skills and abilities

    • Educated to at least sixth form level
    • Preferably AAT part/fully qualified
    • Two years minimum experience in an accounting or accounts payable role
    • Good working knowledge of Word and Excel
    • Experience working with accounting software packages
    • Good command of spoken and written English
    • Good attention to detail
